Abby got her ears pierced today (for the 3RD TIME!!!!). She did very well! Her father took her, unbenounced to me, and she sat in the chair and let them do it, squealed a little bit and was ready to go shopping!! Her first day of kindergarten was today and the first thing she said when Billy picked her up was that the teacher said she was good and wanted to know if she could get her ears pierced now. So hopefully this one will last much longer than last. She's not going to be allowed to switch earrings or take them out for a very long time! She had fun at school. She started out at the new school by our new house so she wouldn't have to switch schools once we move, it's about 14 miles from our apartment, it took me an hour to get her there and get to work, so it's going to be hard for a little while until we move but the house is only a mile & a half from the school so it will be easy once we get there. Helen came over tonight and helped pack the kitchen so we're moving along! I'll be so glad to move. If I can just atleast have 1 day in that house, I will feel ready to have this baby!

aww...amber wants to get her ears pierced but minus the pain...which we all know is impossible. I'm going to wait til she's like 12 so that it's a "right of passage" into womanhood! haha.
I can't believe abby already started school! That's crazy. did you take pics of her on her first day?
Why is this the third ear-piercing? Do they keep getting infected? Do NOT switch earrings, that is always the problem. I'm glad she loved her first day!
You are packing up to move? that is so exciting!!
No, I didn't take pictures because I'm an idiot. What's wrong with me!! Well I can take pictures today and pretend like it was the first day (don't tell anyone). Haha!
Well let's just say last time she had her ears pierced, the back fell out and so I tempororarily put one of my earring backings on it and it got infected and she screamed and screamed for me to take it out because it hurt, so that's what happened....
yeah, hopefully the ears will work this time. I kept amy's same piercing earrings in for like 6 months before I started to switch them. I used only nickel-free for sensitive ears earrings.
wow, I didn't realize your new home was so far from your apt! I was thinking it was like 3 miles form your apt. Well, you were smart to think about the school part and getting her into her permanent school instead of having to switch. I'm so proud of her!!
No, the house is further out away from everything (Wal Mart, church, etc) but the freeway isn't too far from the house so it won't take Billy any longer to get to work, he'll just go a different way and probably even be closer.
I took pics of the first day of school with Noelle and Luke and remember it was the wrong day and when I got to school no one was there...ha!! so you are not so much an idiot as I am..
Ha ha, that last comment was funny by Joy! tee hee...snicker...well I made my high school kids stand on the front porch for the "first day" picture up until they graduated! Aren't I mean? Since I worked at their school I couldn't always follow them to their class, for which they were truly thankful! And I'm STILL there and they are graduated..hey, what's wrong with this picture?
I was so relieved when mom brought us to school on the wrong day....I was so nervous going to school for the first time!
I wonder if Luke remembers?
