Merry Christmas! From Abigail & Layla
I've tried to take pictures 3 different times and Layla will never smile, Then when everything is over and I change her clothes, she's a happy smiling baby again. So I give up!

Lights
Charlie installed recessed lighting (I think that's what you call it) in our house this week and an alarm system (that I'm afraid I'll accidentally set off here soon). 3 lights along the kitchen and one above the sink (much needed!) and 2 in the hallway and 2 in our bathroom including 1 over my shower. Now I can see when I take a shower, thanks to the skinny mexican who shimmied through the roof just for me!

$20,000
This was in Cartersville's Tuesday paper. Not sure if you can read it but it says a woman left her house, shut all the doors and went to the neighbors for 30 minutes. When she came back she found a side door and the pillows thrown on the floor. Someone had stolen her life savings - $20,000 -
I just have 1 question. What is this woman doing with $20,000 in life savings under her PILLOW?!?!?!

Guess What!!
Abby got her ears pierced today (for the 3RD TIME!!!!). She did very well! Her father took her, unbenounced to me, and she sat in the chair and let them do it, squealed a little bit and was ready to go shopping!! Her first day of kindergarten was today and the first thing she said when Billy picked her up was that the teacher said she was good and wanted to know if she could get her ears pierced now. So hopefully this one will last much longer than last. She's not going to be allowed to switch earrings or take them out for a very long time! She had fun at school. She started out at the new school by our new house so she wouldn't have to switch schools once we move, it's about 14 miles from our apartment, it took me an hour to get her there and get to work, so it's going to be hard for a little while until we move but the house is only a mile & a half from the school so it will be easy once we get there. Helen came over tonight and helped pack the kitchen so we're moving along! I'll be so glad to move. If I can just atleast have 1 day in that house, I will feel ready to have this baby!

You've got to be kidding me
I just realized all the links to the blogs I read have disappeared from my blog!! I think this happened when I went to put in these custom template backgrounds. Ah, this makes me so mad! Now someone will need to tell me the code to enter because I always copied and pasted it and put the persons address in the right spot when I wanted to add a new one.

Pre-K Graduation
My baby girl is growing up. BooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the picture quality, I took a picture of the picture with the built in iSight camera because my scanner isn't hooked up to this computer. Well you'll be getting the real picture in the mail and hopefully some video of the graduation which is the 17th. Good thing we got her pictures taken just the other day because tonight she leaned up and bumped her nose right between her eyes on the edge of the bathroom drawer. It's swollen and has a small cut on it. I hope she didn't break her nose!!! For graduation, Abby has been learning the songs with motions for the past several weeks with their chorus teacher at school. One song is "God said it, I believe it" and the other is some "African" song "na na na neetha, aya!" (funny to watch her sing it). I think she is going to be an American Idol one day. She can sing so beautifully for her age. She has that operatic voice and can be strong and emotional with it :D

Happy Anniversary To Us
We had a great anniversary. We went to Ray's on the River in Atlanta. Probably the best place I've ever eaten in my life. They had sprinkled Happy Anniversary confetti on the table and we witnessed the couple next to us proposing (she said yes and they knew each other 5 months, haha). The day after that we went to mall for about 4 hours where we bought 5 products for $25 from Bath & Body Works and went all the way home to find that we had left it somewhere in the mall!! I am still disappointed. Oh well.

I'm sitting here wondering why everyone elses blog is interesting and mine is so boring! I have nothing to post unless something "happens", so I'm going to rack my brain and think of something interesting to post. So check back later...

The winning ticket!
I have a crazy story to tell. Now you all know, or probably assume, that we don't buy lottery tickets. Never have, never planned to. Well for some reason, Billy got a 'wild hair' out of the blue, and decided to buy a jumbo ticket, or whatever the heck those things are called. He scratches it off and won $ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!$ He came home from work and told me and I was totally confused. I thought he was joking, being the joker that he is, I thought he was making up some story. Turned out he wasn't. So what did we do with the money? Bought a 27" Sony T.V. for our bedroom in perfect condition off of craigslist for a hundred bucks :D

Laugh of the day
Me and Billy were sitting at the table eating lunch. I got up and went to the bathroom and when I came back, I took a drink from my straw and nothing would come out. I thought the bottom of the straw was stuck to a piece of ice so I moved the straw around. Still nothing. So I opened the lid and pulled the straw out to find that Billy had wedged a chip in the end of my straw and bent it just to play a trick on me. This is what my husband does, he always has something up his sleeve. I never know what's coming next!!! HAHAHAHA

Happy Birthday to Me! March 26th
Here is my birthday present! It rocks and swivels and lays back flat. I love it! Abby brought me a balloon and some flowers to my work. My boss gave me a $50 gift card to O'Charley's. We had pizza hunt that night and went to church where I got the birthday song sung to me. 25...A Quarter of a century. I don't feel any older. I guess that's nice.

It Turned Blue!!
Hopefully you've seen the commercial. If not, well you already know what it means because it's no news to anyone that we're having another baby! Yes that's right folks. I thought I'd never see the day. I'm not sick, thank the Lord. I think I had enough sickness with Abby to last my entire life. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky few who don't have any sickness! I can't imagine being able to enjoy a pregnancy. My bosses wife left me a lovely surprise on my desk after she found out I was pregnant. Some crackers & ginger ale in case I get sick. Let's hope I can use it to enjoy eating instead of to avoid getting sick. I'm now 8 weeks and have my first doctor's appointment tomorrow. Check back for ultrasound pictures I'll post when I get home (hopefully). It probably won't look like anything except a little bean, but that's ok, I'll post it anyway. I won't really believe it until I actually see something in there. So I guess it's not totally sunken in yet. But I have already started thinking about things I'll need to buy. For some reason, I have it stuck in my head that it's a boy. So when I think about names or buying things, it's all about boy stuff. But then I think, wait a minute, it might be a girl. But I have a while before I have to think about that. It's hard to imagine having a boy, I guess because I have Abby. I would love to have another girl though but I would like for Billy to have the experience of having a son. Sometimes I think I don't know what I'd do with a boy! I went to a baby shower at church today and it's weird to think that not too long from now, it'll be me in that seat. I'm so thankful and very blessed. I think I'm going to start a pregnancy blog so I don't fill up our family blog with a bunch of hormonal stuff :) so check back for the link to that one.
Anyways, in other news! Abby is going to school 2 days a week now instead of 5. She stays home with Billy Mon-Wed and goes to school Thur-Fri. We're saving money and it's not so hard on her this way. Billy's mom also keeps her 1 night if she's off work and that's a big help too. Me and Abby have had a cough for about 2 weeks. Seems like everybody around us is getting sick. Abby can't wait for summer, she asks us to take her to the pool atleast once a week. I try to tell her it's not warm enough but she wants to jump in there with it freezing cold (she did try to go outside in the snow with her bathing suit on). Maybe I can find an indoor pool somewhere we can take her. She would love it. Well I guess that's all that's going on around here for now. Bye for now!

Christmas Happenings
We had a great Christmas with the Evans and the Sellers. Everyone got lots of gifts. Billy got some calogne, a paper shredder, a jacket and some clothes from his parents, and a lump of coal from Santa (aka Abby). Billy surprised me with a LG Chocolate phone which is really awesome and a Journey necklace that I really love. Abby got all kinds of stuff. We got her a princess wooden table & chairs to do her coloring on (she's definately the artist). I got a nice foot massager, some perfume and a sparkly gold necklace, a frying pan & a bunch of other stuff. Jessica custom made us a neat Calendar with family photos in it. My boss and his wife took me out to lunch and gave me a $100 visa gift card. Well I have more to post but Abby's not feeling well and it's getting late. Goodnight!
